    Role Overview:

    The General Manager / Funeral Director of our Wolf Point, MT location serves as the heart of the operation, leading the team, building relationships in the community, and ensuring every family receives exceptional care. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in both the business and the service side of funeral work, and who thrives with the autonomy to run a location while operating within a supportive, growth-oriented organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead day-to-day funeral home operations, including staffing, scheduling, and facility management

    • Meet with client families to guide arrangements with professionalism and compassion

    • Perform or oversee embalming, preparation, and funeral services as needed

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, clergy, and local organizations

    • Drive location performance, including call volume, revenue, and client satisfaction

    • Partner with IFP's support team on reporting, compliance, and operational standards

    • Mentor and develop funeral home staff

    Qualifications:

    • Active MT Mortician license, or the ability to obtain one

    • 5+ years of experience as a licensed funeral director preferred

    • Graduation from an accredited mortuary science program

    • Prior management or leadership experience is a plus

    • Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to serving families

    • Comfortable operating with autonomy while working within a larger organization

Silha Funeral Home of Glendive, MT, and Beach, ND, is seeking a full-time funeral director. MT/ND licensed preferred, MT/ND licensable acceptable, or an internship could be considered for the right candidate. 

 Alternating night and weekend call time. Funeral director is expected to make removals, embalm, meet with families, and work funerals. MT cremation technician active status a plus; interest is preferred.

We are seeking a compassionate and licensed Funeral Director in Montana to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities

Family Meetings and Arrangements

Meet with families to arrange funeral and memorial services that reflect each loved one’s life and legacy.

Guide families through service options, including burial, cremation, and memorial choices, helping them make informed decisions.

Complete all necessary paperwork and documents, such as death certificates, permits, and authorizations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.

Funeral Services & Ceremony Oversight

Coordinate and direct funeral services, ensuring all elements are carried out seamlessly and according to the family's wishes.

Oversee or assist with preparations for visitations, viewings, and ceremonies, ensuring that each service reflects the family’s wishes with dignity and respect.

Transfer and Transport Duties

On-Call Responsibilities

Be available on an on-call schedule basis to respond to service needs promptly, including after-hours transfers and family support.

Community and Client Family Support

Requirements

Qualifications:

Licensed Funeral Director in the state of Montana (or ability to obtain Montana licensure).

At least 5 years of experience as a licensed Funeral Director (preferred, but not required).

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Skills:

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to compassionate service.

Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, such as transfers and lifting, with appropriate care.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, EDRS, arrangement documents and standard business and accounting practices.

Bullis Mortuary is seeking a full time Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer or a Mortician Intern. Bullis Mortuary is a full-service mortuary serving the Crow Indian Reservation and Big Horn County Montana. The mortuary is located in Hardin, Montana about 50 miles from Billings, Montana on I-90. We currently have two licensed funeral directors and three office staff and removal personnel. This is a great opportunity for an intern or a new graduate to learn all aspects of funeral service. The Bullis Mortuary was established in 1914 and has been owned by the Bullis family for 107 years.

 

Mortician Responsibilities:

  • Proficient knowledge of various religions, cultures and customs.

  • Ability to focus for extended periods.
